Our third month of the new cash rewards program sees us now starting to mature the distribution of rewards by segmenting what we’d like to call “Hot Categories”. As a 1 month experiment during the September cycle, we will be splitting the $1,000 Cash Rewards amongst the following 100 categories. Any reviews or votes not in these categories will not be rewarded this month, but activity will always increase ShareScore and since there is a larger reward per category we will be splitting the rewards amongst the top 5 earning reviews in each of the 100 categories listed below.

1st: 40%, 2nd:25%, 3rd: 20%, 4th: 10%, 5th 5%

We apologize for all the delays associated with the delivery of the earnings reports. With hardware failures and some personal issues, this last week has been a very difficult week for all of us here working behind the scenes at SharedReviews.

Later today, we expect sometime around 5-7pm EST, we hope to send out the Earnings Reports to all members that earned their share of the Monthly Cash Rewards in July. This report will show how much you earned as authors, and voters for the month.

The delays this month will not be repeated in future months, and now that the testing is almost complete you can expect that all future reports will arrive sharply on the 7th of each month going forward.

Heading into our second month of the popularity score review ranking has brought us some wins, some ties, and lots and lots of learning. I wanted to thank all of you who helped work through some of our growing pains as we launch a system that’s different than everyone’s used to, but much better and exciting than anything we’ve ever done in the past!

Our second month greets us with a Community Cash Rewards amount of $1,500 (plus contests) with some changes as outlined below:

1) Vote allowances have been reduced by half, to what they were before our revenue sharing hiatus. Here is the new structure:

2) Vote bonuses for publishing new reviews and referring new members to the site have been greatly increased. Publishing a new Review now results in an increase of 15 extra votes from 5, and referrals have are now 20 votes each from 10. These are two great ways to make your voting power significantly increase.
